This is a genuine OEM part. I bought it for my freezer because the fan was making noise. Someone told me to blow some hot air into the housing to melt any ice in there. Well it worked, but I have this one ready if I ever need to replace it. Reasonable price so I kept it.The part was the correct replacement as advertised. However, the screws included with the motor are really for the mounting bracket (show in picture) and not for mounting the motor to the bracket. I was confused and thought the holes in the motor hadn't been threaded either. But it was just they didn't include the bolts. The bolts from the old motor didn't fit either. I found the correct bolts at the hardware store (Lowes) for a few dollars. But it was a pain to be in the middle of the repair with food out on the counter and then have to make a special trip to the store. The size bolt that fit the existing holes was M4 x .7 (metric). Since a number of customers have had this issue, I'm taking a star off since they've had plenty of feedback to fix this. Please fix this! ;)Bought a OEM replacement part for a fraction of the original cost. Amazon helped me, I helped Amazon.Correct OEM Frigidaire/Electrolux part as specified and it did fix the problem on my upright freezer. ....BUT.... I'm a little irritated that neither of the two mounting posts were tapped & threaded to accept the mounting screws! Item does come with an undersized screw but was one size too small to bite the post walls, and was also NOT a self-tapping screw, and just falls out of the hole so I have no clue why they even sent it with it, unless they sent the wrong screw maybe. But even if it was a self-tapping screw, it still would have been way too long and an inexperienced person would more than likely have either cracked one, or both. of the cast mounting posts or stripped them ...or... effectively rendering the unit unusable ...Had to run to the hardware store & buy the correct machine tap needed, size was M4 x 0.35 (another $12), to thread the mounting post holes ... so for other than it not having the proper self tapping screw/screws for proper mounting... I'm knocking off a star for having to go and buy something that should have been included with it.Perfect fit for my freezer. Saved me from buying a new oneFan motor worked great. The only issue was that the mounting threads were not yet tapped, so before it could be installed I had to tap the threads. Other than that minor setback, our old freezer is quiet and running great once again. The product representation on the Amazon web site does not adequately show the wire harness connection so therefore it was not possible to determine whether the wiring was compatible with the existing wiring on our appliance until the evaporator fan arrived and was examined. The fan was ordered using the correct part number. The fan was not connected and was returned unused, but I was still charged a restocking fee of $18.29 by the company from which the fan was purchased. This seems unfair as the company selling the fan should have done a better job with product description.Works as needed.
