I purchased my house in 2007. It was built in 2005. The ceiling fan was here at the time of purchase. It looks great and initially, we were very impressed with fan and the remote. But it when came time to change the light bulb, it was crazy difficult to figure out. We had to use the manuel, then eventually go into a lowes to solict help from a store clerk. Now, all of sudden - fan nor the remote works. It just stoped right before Christmas (2011). I had to pay an electrician out who recommended just replacing it. I am so tired of cheaply made products! I want to buy something looks good, work well and repairable! I hate the thought of having to throw away this fan for a new one. This is just another reason why our environment is deteriorating- a good looking piece of junk. This fan didn't last 10 years!
