52 Inch Modern LED Ceiling Fan with Remote Control - Energy Efficient Quiet Design for Living Room, Bedroom, and Office

Constant motor drone wakes me at night. I have an older Kichler ceiling fan in another bedroom that is absolutely silent. Guess the quality isn't the same as it use to be or different lines have better motors. Expected more for the money.Build Quality:The fan is very high quality and looks great! There were no defects in manufacturing. All parts were packed well and arrived in perfect condition. There are even brake pads on the fan (last picture) to keep the motor from dinging the housing if the fan experiences heavy "G's" during shipping. The casing is very thick and put together well.Color:The color of this fan is a matte gray / Nickle-ish color. It is an a micro-textured surface and not a brushed or smooth surface.Installation:Installation is straight forward and similar to any other fan installation except for the following notes:1) There are brakes that need to be removed (this is apparent when you attach the blades2) Blades can be added (easily) in the last step of install -- There is a cut out in the light kit to allow screwdriver access to the bolts.3) The electrical cords are very long ~6' to allow for a long down pole. You can trim if you don't need that.Wireless OR "in wall switch" wiringA standard Black(Fan Hot), Blue(Light Hot) and white (Common) wires come out of the fan. You can either wire this to the wireless controller or use an in wall switch. The full power fan runs at a very reasonable rate for normal use. You can install with a speed controller if you wish. The lights can be used on a dimmer circuit as well.Good Light Brightness:This fan has very good light level out of the LED light. This fan supplies a great light kit that can put out about what I would expect out of 3x 60w lights. I really appreciate the light level here as low light can be a deal breaker for me and that is not the case here.LED Lighting ReplacementIf you need to replace the LEDs at a later date you can fit just about any 2 wire 120 LED ring or disc inside the housing chamber. rather easily.Fan Noise and AirflowThe air flow is very good and what I expect for a fan of this size. The noise level is low but audible. The sound is a low pitch hum. There are no creaks or other noise other than the motor hum.Final thoughts:This is a great looking, performing fan that I highly recommend.This review is for the 52 Inch Renew Designer Fan LED Light kit. This fan was installed by my husband who I will mention is an electrician. He said it was easy though, and a regular non-electrician could install this light and fan kit. The fan is large and gives off excellent cool air. The down side, in my opinion, to this kit is the light cover makes the light very dim and I don't like the color of light it gives off. So, the fan is terrific but the light kit I do not like. Overall, it is still a good ceiling fan for the price and if you have other room lighting this will still be a great addition. It is a modern clean style of light.This fan has a popular size of 52", which fits most rooms of a home. All the fans in my house are 52". The rod between the fan and ceiling only has a short version, while all the fans I got have both short and long versions. If you have a high ceiling house, this could be a problem. On the other hand, the rod is screed into the motor casing plus an anchor crossing the rod. This is more secured way than just an anchor crossing the rod, which is how pretty much all my other fans use. The fan is remote controllable and you can adjust the radio frequency by changing the switch seating inside the remote and fan controller. This is a useful feature when you have multiple remotes and they interfere with each other. The fan can rotate clockwise and counter clockwise. But you have to do that on a physical switch on the fan, which my other fans can do this on the remote control. It is not a big deal for me because I am in Florida. But if you are in an area that has clear winter and summer, you may find this a bit inconvenient. Another issue I have is that the light shade is not evenly painted. So when you may want to check out this when you get yours. Other than these, this is a good fan.We love the look of this fan and it works great as well! It was very simple to install and we've had no issues with it so far. I would definitely recommend this fan and this brand!!The light is moderately bright and there are several options for fan speed and direction. It’s just an aesthetic upgrade to the one we replaced.Good quality, well made and easy to assemble and install. Runs smoothly without shaking or noise and is fairly quiet when running. Comes with a remote that controls the fan speed, light and also has a timer. Looks amazing in my living room and is a very good price too, highly recommend.
