Great little heater if you don’t mind it turning itself to the right when it is on. The fan vibrations apparently cause the heater to slowly turn which is not only a bit frustrating but could also be a fire hazard. Would not want to leave running if you’re not around to keep an eye on it.I bought my first of these probably around 20 years ago to put under my desk in a large family room with one heating vent that didn't really heat the room well. Desk faced an outside wall so I was always freezing. What I found was that these tiny heaters work better than much larger, supposedly "stronger" space heaters. I don't know the measurements of the room but I actually could not run this at the highest heat level because the room actually got too hot. Without measuring it, I think that room could accommodate at least a dozen twin beds if you didn't need to walk anywhere, lol. I did find that they work more consistently and heat better if you leave it at the highest temperature with the adjustable knob and the lower heat setting with the knob that navigates between the fan and the heater settings. If you live anywhere hot like TX that fan isn't good for anything but keeping your bath from steaming up when people shower. I've kept one in my bathroom for around 20 years so it isn't so cold in winter months and to deal with the steam issues.For some reason my feet & lower calf stay cold while I am sitting on the sofa to read or watch TV. I wear socks and leggings and have a fireplace in the room, but my feet were too cold. This little heater sits at the corner of my sectional and puts out so much heat that it warms a large area. I use the low heat setting - it was perfect for what I bought it for. My feet and legs are warm and comfy. The only drawback is that there is no on/off button. To turn it off, it must be unplugged - but that is actually a good safety feature. Unplugging it when you go to bed or leave the room/house definitely prevents any and all fire hazard caused by this portable heater. I highly recommend this lightweight & powerful little heating machine. While working in my home office.....I used it under my desk - but it gets too warm, so I only use it in the larger TV watching room (with 10' ceilings) where it is perfect for extra and comfortable heat on these cold Oklahoma days and nights.Someone else reviewed this heated and said that it smelled for quite some time. That's true. It does work in a small space and it does put out nice heat but...as the other reviewer mentioned...it also stinks. I assume it's something from the plastic and I would recommend not using it in too small a space. A garage or some other spot that has lots of air circulation around it or open a window just a tiny bit.I ordered this heater and when it came the heating element was not secure in the unit. It was loose and had fallen against the front of the unit. There are four tabs that are to hold the element in place, but the top two were not secure. I sent the unit back and received a new unit within a few days. The new unit also had a loose heating element. I was able to push the element back into place with a screwdriver. The unit was not plugged in while I did this. By pushing the element back, the tabs that hold it in place snapped on the element and now hold it in the correct position. Once the element was secure in the correct position the heater works great. I would not use the heater if the element is not in the correct position. I gave it only three stars because of the problem with the heating element.It’s in the window of put bathroom to heat up the bathroom before a shower or as a fan after the shower to dispel the moisture in the air.This little unit was quite literally a life saver. Albeit of plant life.I'm writing this in Feb 2021 from South Texas where we just experienced the worst cold snap in the 20+years I've lived here. Overnight temps got down to 6,which is something we're just not prepared for.I bought this heater for my little 26 square foot greenhouse. Through 6 days of sub-freezing temps and rolling blackouts it maintained a cozy 75. My beefsteak tomato started blooming while it was snowing! I know you shouldn't run a space heater continuously but this little guy was up to the task.Couldn't be more pleased.Maybe they packed it in too small a box? Fan would not turn on at all and heater just had a burning smell.Could not get fan or heater to work at all.
