I was looking for a circulation fan for a small hobby greenhouse without power. This fan seemed ideal as it came with the solar panel and I wanted something which would just run directly off of the panel when it was sunny. Most solar fans I found with a battery would shut off when the battery was depleted and had to be manually turned on again once there was sunlight.The first impression of the fan is that it’s rather cheaply made. The plastic housing is thin and easily flexed. The hanging hook doesn’t seem very sturdy and bends a bit. It works well, though, quietly moving a lot of air for its’ size. One uncommon feature it has is a knob to adjust the fan speed, which is very useful—I don’t need it to run at full speed and the slower you run it, the quieter it is.The fan cable has a USB plug, so you could run the fan from a powerbank, USB wall adapter or other USB power source. The solar panel has a USB socket to plug the fan into, but I wouldn’t recommend using the panel to power other USB devices, as the rated output voltage of the panel is 6 Volts, which exceeds the standard 5 Volt USB specification and could damage some USB devices. There is no indication the panel has a voltage regulator circuit, so I wouldn’t take the chance...Unfortunately one of the solder connections inside the speed control module was loose and I had to re-solder it, so all-in-all, I think the product is overpriced for the quality you get. Also, while the product is listed as “In Stock”, that apparently means it is in stock in China and it will take a while to get to you, with little visibility in the way of tracking information. I will say it did arrive sooner than the estimate...--Sorry, a revision to the above:Upon closer inspection, there does appear to be some circuitry associated with the USB output of the Solar Panel. It is covered with heat-shrink tubing, so I can't be sure, but I would imagine it is a regulator to limit the USB output to +5VDC to meet USB specs. I'll try to measure it tomorrow if the sun cooperates :).
